10 simple reminders as we enter the flu season:
Wash your hands with soap and water frequently, especially before you eat.
- Avoid touching your face, eyes, nose and mouth.
- Wipe keyboards and mobile devices regularly with alcohol.
- Avoid sharing drinks/ cups and utensils.
- If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your sleeve at your elbow.
- Don’t leave used tissues lying around- throw them into the garbage bin immediately after use.
- If you are sick, keep a distance from others to prevent the spread of illness.
- Stay away from people who are sick.
- Keep hydrated and ensure adequate rest.
- It doesn’t hurt to get an extra boost of vitamin C! Try “Emergen-C” drinks or “Ester-C” capsules, a buffered form of vitamin C that doesn’t cause stomach upset.
